JOSEPH SCHNEIDERHAN, O.D. – DOCTOR OF OPTOMETRY

As Doctor of Optometry, Joseph Schneiderhan is an integral part of the Lake Region team. He has been with Lake Region Eye Center since its inception in 1997. Dr. Schneiderhan received his Doctor of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon. Prior to joining the professionals at Lake Region Eye, he practiced at a large multidisciplinary clinic in Woodbury, Minnesota. He has gained almost twenty years of knowledge and experience in performing eye exams and contact lens fitting; in diagnosing and treating Glaucoma, other acute and chronic eye diseases, and minor injury; and in providing care in pediatrics and ocular learning disabilities.
As a native of Alexandria, Dr. Schneiderhan enjoys sharing his primary care experience with the residents of the Alexandria community. When not running around the clinic, Joe can be found running the streets of cities throughout the U.S. He is a trained athlete and enjoys participating in triathlons across the country.
CARIE STOTESBERY, O.D. – DOCTOR OF OPTOMETRY

Carie Stotesbery has been back in her hometown of Alexandria delivering eye care as a Doctor of Optometry at Lake Region Eye Care Center since 1998. Dr. Stotesbery received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon. She is highly trained in utilizing the latest technological equipment available at Lake Region Eye. Along with her standard optometric training, she has received special training in diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases, co-management of cataract and refractive surgeries, pediatric optometry, vision therapy and sports vision.
When not in the clinic, Dr. Stotesbery loves spending time with her husband and two children, whether it be camping or biking, she enjoys being outdoors with her family. She is also president of the Alexandria Lion’s Club and helps organize the collection and distribution of used glasses for people in need.
THOMAS I. STRINDEN, M.D. – OPHTHALMOLOGIST

Thomas Strinden received his medical degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine in 1988. He completed his Ophthalmology Residency at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He has practiced medicine since 1992 and was the managing physician partner of eye services for a large health system, prior to joining Eye Professionals in 2008. He has over 10 years of extensive Laser Refractive surgery experience, including “bladeless” flap creation with the IntraLase. He offers a wide range of other refractive options, such as a clear lensectomy with multifocal implantation for extreme degrees of farsightedness and Verisys lens implants for extreme degrees of nearsightedness. Dr. Strinden specializes in refractive and cataract surgery, but he also offers a range of services related to general ophthalmology.
Dr. Strinden is an associate clinical professor at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and the President Elect of the North Dakota Society of Eye Physicians & Surgeons. In his spare time, he enjoys hockey and spending time with his wife and four children.
