GWEN THOENNES – OFFICE MANAGER
Gwen Thoennes is a native and lifelong resident of Douglas County. She attended Jefferson High School and went on to graduate from Alexandria Technical College with a degree in Office Administration. She has over twenty years of experience working in office administration and management and has been the heart of the Lake Region Eye team for the past five years.
When she is not working at Lake Region, she helps her husband on their dairy farm in Millerville, where she drives tractor and feeds and cares for the animals. She also takes great pride in the upkeep of her beautifully restored farm house. If she had free time, she said that she would enjoy traveling to visit her daughters, spoiling her three adorable grandsons, and going to the lake.
DEANN RUNGE – ACCOUNTING PROFESSIONAL
DeAnn Runge is native to the Alexandria area and graduated from Jefferson High School. After graduation, she attended Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, MN earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Business. She held several summer jobs doing office work, before joining Lake Region Eye Center in 2004. As part of Lake Region Eye, DeAnn performs administrative duties, including bookkeeping and payroll.
When she is not working, DeAnn loves to get outside whenever she can. She particularly enjoys the summer months. She has a cat and a beautiful service dog that impresses everyone with his delightfulness and remarkable abilities whenever he comes around.
