Optical Staff
DAVID SCHNEIDERHAN – CERTIFIED OPTICIAN, F.N.A.O.
David Schneiderhan came back to the Alexandria area in 1997 to open Lake Region Eye Center. Before returning to Alexandria, Dave practiced opticianry in Hastings, Minnesota, where he owned an Optical Dispensary in a medical clinic. He has also worked as a practice administrator for twenty-four ophthalmologists and optometrists within one of the largest health systems in Minnesota. He received his Opticianry Degree at Pima College of Opticianry in Tucson, Arizona. He is certified by the American Board of Opticianry and is a fellow in the National Academy of Opticianry.
Outside of work, Dave enjoys golfing, hunting, fishing, reading, and spending time with his family. He is always looking for adventure and loves to travel, learn about new cultures, and experience new places, even if it means he has to get lost along the way.
KRISTIN ANDERSON – OPTICIAN
Kristin Anderson is a native of the Alexandria area where she graduated from Jefferson High School. With three years of significant optical experience, she joins the team of eye professionals at Lake Region Eye Center. When not working, Kristin enjoys spending time with her husband and their two girls. She also enjoys scrapbooking, fishing, spending time outdoors, and watching movies and Minnesota Wild hockey.
CARLA SETTERSTROM – OPTOMETRIC TECHNICIAN
Carla graduated from Northwood Institute in Michland, MI with a marketing management degree and worked for nine years in retail management before becoming a stay-at-home mom. In November 2008, she began working as an optometric technician and enjoys helping patients with a variety of optical needs. In June 2011, Carla joined the eye care professionals at Lake Region Eye Center in Alexandria.
Outside of work, Carla and her husband can be found spending time cheering at their boys’ sporting events. She also enjoys photography, boating, and travelling.
